The trick to a good fajita is to marinate your meat well beforehand, to let the flavours infuse and to add succulence to a cheap bit of meat.

Kittens are a dime a dozen at the moment, you can pick up a handful of them for a couple of quid and, for that authentic Mexican flavour, they really have no equal.

Fuck the Old El Paso way, my fajita recipe is simple, natural and doesn't taste like utter shite. Slice the hottest chillis you can find lengthways and shove them up the kittens bum (you might need to use some sort of pipe to get them in). Rub chilli, garlic and lime juice into its eyes. This is a incredibly effective way of getting flavour straight into the bloodstream.

You can do this for several days prior to eating for maximum flavour. The minimum soaking time is two hours.

When you're ready, skin and gut the cat, slice thinly and cook briskly on a hot griddle with peppers and onions.

Serve with the usual gubbins and as much tequila as you can manage. ¡Aproveche!

The 4 long-haired babies were adopted out. The kitten at the very top left had short hair and he was left in the cage at PetSmart. After his littermates left, he SCREAMED nonstop if he wasn't held. The rescue volunteers called and told me - I, crying and all, promptly drove there to rescue him!

The First Meals

You should avoid any sudden change of food, or otherwise you will run the risk of inducting digestive problems. Plan to continue with previously given food, at least for a few days.
Ask the breeder or the person who gave you the kitten about their feeding methods (number of meals per day, rationed, or ad libitum) and types of meals.
If you want to change the food, you should make sure there is a gradual transition from the old food to the new over a period of one week.
These transitions help to minimize the risks of soft stools or diarrhea, which can be very harmful to the kitten’s proper development.
Never give scraps during your meals, to avoid the habit of begging for food and stealing at the table. An unbalanced diet can also lead to obesity.
Also make sure that your kitten always has fresh water available, and above all leave her to eat in peace.
